Doors That Close Properly Again

The bedroom door that will not latch, the closet door that drags on the carpet, the bathroom door that swings open by itself. We adjust it, or replace it in the same opening when it is past saving.

Most Problem Doors Just Need Adjusting

Florida humidity makes wood doors swell, and houses settle over time. Usually that shows up as a door that rubs, will not latch, or will not stay put. Most of the time the fix is tightening or shimming the hinges, moving the strike plate, or planing an edge - not a new door. When a door is cracked, warped, or just worn out, we replace it in the existing opening, with the same swing and new hardware.

What This Covers
  • Sticking, rubbing, and dragging doors
  • Doors that will not latch or swing open on their own
  • Hinge tightening, shimming, and replacement
  • Bifold and sliding closet door repair and track adjustment
  • Door slab or pre-hung replacement in the same opening
  • Door stops and new hardware

Straight talk on scope

Replacement means the same size opening. Making a doorway wider, adding a new one, or moving one is framing work and outside what we do.
